      Alzheimers, Motor Neurone Disease, cancers, metabolic disorders to name a few. I think the possibilities of stem cell therapy are endless.

      Blood stem cells in bone marrow have been widely used to treat diseases of the blood and immune system and in restoring the blood system after cancer treatment. Stem cells from the skin are used to grow skin grafts for patients with every severe burns but sadly these grafts don’t hair follicles or sweat glands. Stem ells from the cornea in the can also be used to make corneal grafts.
      Bearing in mind that stem cells can be programmed to become different types of cells, such as heart cells, neurones and insulin secreting cells then the possibilities are endless although these are still under investigation or in early stages of clinical trials
