Yes it is. The area I work on is a huge area and you cannot do research on all of it. I am not the only person researching in this area. I research one small area and I try to make sure it differs from other researchers. Therefore we can all contribute something new and different to the field.

All research is difficult and can be frustrating but can be so rewarding. I never made a complete break through but every bit of research adds pieces to the jig saw.
