• Question: Is it possible for a female to produce testosterone and a male to produce estrogen?

      Yes indeed they do. Testosterone is produced in males but women also produce small amounts of male hormones collectively known as androgens.
      Vice a versa males produce oestrogens in small amounts and these can affect linear growth.
      Excess androgens in females an cause a condition known as polycystic ovarian syndrome and growth of unwanted hair!
