• Question: I really want to get to university and study either chemistry or physics, do you think triple science at GCSEs would help me?

      I think if you enjoy all of them, I would say to try to do all of them. There are jobs out there which are engineering based but biology/anamtomy knowledge is important – for example, for a career solving biological problems using engineering (bioengineering).

      I guess taking triple science keeps your options open, then you can decide what you want to take at A-level.

      I took triple science at GCSE but double award in fine too. It depends on what you enjoy studying. That is why I took triple award. I do know this option is not always available as well. It is more important to pick the right A levels. If you check what universities that you wish to study at ask for then that will help your choice at that stage. For example, to study biology at some universities they may want you to do two subjects from chemistry, maths or physics. Oddly biology A level is not essential in some cases but it is important to do your research.
