I would have done science subjects at school so I could have started my career earlier. I say that but I’m very lucky the way things worked out. If I went straight to study science at university:
      – I wouldn’t have done the HND in Admin & IT Management, which helped me get the job I have.
      – I would have had to study another 2-ish years to qualify as a Biomedical Scientist. The university had recently had the degree accredited by a professional body which meant I would be fully trained by the time I graduated.
      – I wouldn’t have got the £2000 bursary in years 3 and 4 – something they introduced the year I started.

So I’d say it all worked out quite well. I’ve met some amazing people along the way who are really good friends.

It’s too difficult to predict his other decisions will impact further down the line. A bit like the butterfly effect. Each choice I made at each point along the way seemed the right one for me then. To answer your question – no I wouldn’t change a thing as I would not be the person I am today without all those experiences good and bad.
