No. Men and women have mainly the same hormones but some will be in different amounts. Testosterone which is seen as a ‘male’ hormone is also found in women but in much lower quantities. Some scientists believe women are more sensitive to testosterone as well which is why it is present in very very low amounts. Oestrogen which is seen as a ‘female’ hormone is found in both men and women but it doesn’t appear to have a function in men.

Great answer, Amy! I couldn’t even start to put it into words.

There are several ‘male’ hormones called androgens but the most potent male hormone or androgen is testosterone. The same is true for female hormones called collectively oestrogens with the most potent or strongest being oestradiol. Androgens and oestrogens act on different receptors in cells so there is no question as to which is the strongest.
Remember though that both females and males have both androgens and oestrogens although they do different things in men and women

Completely a myth- and in my eyes, probably just propagates the false belief of men being “stronger” than women. Different hormones (testosterone in men, oestrogen in women) – with varying degrees of impact and receptor levels. Certainly no one is stronger than the other 🙂
