Lotf of it down to a Consultant when I was a junior doctor- name was David jenkins- aweinspiring- kind, lovely and supportive…wanted to be even a bit like him!
Apart from that, the chance to help people with this condition also was a major draw

I kind of fell into this area of science. I previously worked in microbiology with viruses and bacteria but I saw a job in reproductive medicine. I didn’t know much about it (it’s not one of the standard departments for a Biomedical Scientist) but applied anyway. I was lucky enough to get it and couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. I find it really interesting and rewarding and want to learn more and more in this field.
