      Yes, I think it does. I’ve read somewhere (but can’t remember where! ) that hugging has some powerful effects over your hormones and can make you feel better, happier and less ill if you are sick !

      Yes, hugging increases levels of the “love hormone” oxytocin. This could have beneficial effects on the heart health and more. One study found that women had lower blood pressure following a brief episode of warm contact with their partner.

      Hugs are good!
