• Question: Do you know how much a medical career differs from veterinary science by any chance?

      I’m not quite sure if you mean working with humans vs. animals or if you’re wanting to know the difference between veterinary medicine versus veterinary science. As far as I’m aware they are the same thing, universities just call it different things. Make sure the university offer a degree which enables graduates to be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

      If you did mean humans versus animals, I’m not really sure….apart from the obvious. I know you need good grades to get onto each degree. I don’t know about career progression as a vet or prospects working abroad. Doctors on the other – I know that after the 5 years studying, there are 2 more years training in hospitals and GP practices. They then train as a Registrar and can progress onto Consultant. Not too sure about the ranks as a vet.

      Medical doctors : only need to know about 1 species (humans)

      Vets have to know about over 100 species !!!
